Dog recovered in Adams Co. theft case reunited with owners in Missouri

A dog that was recovered in a theft investigation in Adams County, Ohio has now been reunited with its rightful owners in Missouri. Cora Burton said her family's two dogs disappeared in Moscow Mills, Missouri in November.

Pavement repairs scheduled on SR 41

Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation's Adams County Highway Maintenance Facility will be performing pavement repairs on state Route 41 in the village of West Union later this week. On Thursday and Friday, January 25 and 26, Main Street will be closed between Market and Second streets, and the closure will be in effect from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.

Sixteen dogs recovered from Peebles residence

Two women from the Peebles area were arrested Sunday, Jan. 21 after Adams County Sheriff's Deputies, acting on a tip, discovered a stolen dog in their possession. Molly Salser, 26, and Olivia Yost, 27, were charged with theft and tampering with evidence, a felony three crime, after deputies removed 16 dogs from their mobile home on Jones Road near Peebles.

In a letter of intent signing ceremony held on Jan. 9, Manchester High School senior Katie Sandlin confirmed her decision to become part of the Rio Grande University volleyball program.
