‘On Golden Pond’ makes a splash

A true American Classic “On Golden Pond”, Academy Award and Drama Desk winning play by Ernest Thompson comes to life June 4, 5, 6 and 7 on the Oliver School stage. Produced by the Adams County Arts Council’s Appalachian Regional Theater and directed by Davina Cooper, the cast includes seasoned actors Mike and Paulette Roberts, reprising the roles played by Henry Fonda and Katherine Hepburn in the movie version of this heartwarming story.


‘On Golden Pond’

The Adams County Arts Council presents its spring theater production, “On Golden Pond,” a 1979 play by Ernest Thompson. The plot focuses on aging couple Ethel, , and Norman, , who spend each summer at their home on a lake called Golden Pond, complete with good-natured boat mailman Charlie, .


Reading Program set to begin

It’s summer – which means it’s time to open up the books as part of the Adams County Public Library Summer Reading Program again. The program, which is usually just for children, has a new twist this year.

Reservations accepted for museuma s barn quilt tour

The Hancock Historical Museum is sponsoring a tour of the Hancock County Barn Quilt Trail from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20. The chartered bus tour, led by Hancock County Barn Quilt Trail originator and artist, Barb Gabriel, will include more than 35 barn quilts and over 100 miles on country roads.


Ohio School Bus/Car Crashes Injures 13

May 01–The Georgetown Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a serious injury, two-vehicle crash involving a school bus near the Scioto County line. The crash occurred Thursday, at approximately 3:46 p.m..
