Wind may have caused paraglider to crash

Christopher L. Montgomery, 60, of Jacksonville, Fla., was operating a Fresh Breeze paraglider in the Rarden area, just east of the Adams County line, when he crashed at about 7:30 p.m. According to the Portsmouth post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, inclement weather had moved into the area and the high winds caused Montgomery’s parachute to fail.
